Water Safety: Be hyper-vigilant of where your drinking water and ice are coming from. Out of abundance of caution, always drink bottled water (and recycle), or refill with water that you know with 100% certainty has been purified (at your hotel, for instance).
From personal (and traumatizing) experience, don’t be fooled by the Starbucks at the SJD Airport, or other brands you recognize. It’s bottled water or nada.
Customs: When you arrive at the airport and go through Customs, a section of your Customs form will be torn off and given to you. Take care not to lose this, as you’ll need to show it at the Airport upon your departure.
Care with Activities: As is the case with many tourism-heavy destinations, please use discretion when booking activities. For example, seaside horseback and camelback adventures are popular, but some companies take better care of their animals than others.
Cell Service: Most carriers have included free roaming in Mexico in their packages. Check with your provider ahead of the trip.
Reservations in Advance: Should you be looking to book an activity or make a restaurant reservation, do so as soon as possible!
Motion Sickness: Should you be prone to seasickness, bring non-drowsy Dramamine along on your boating adventures.
Cash: Please carry a mix of Pesos and USD with you. Most places in Cabo take USD, but have both currencies as cash on hand.
